Festival of Trees

2016 Orlando Museum of Art Festival of Trees

One of our favorite parts of the holiday season is the decorated tree! This tradition was started several centuries ago, but today they are more creative than ever! Some of us even have a hard time deciding how we should decorate ours each year! While we might not have enough room in our homes for all the fun and creative trees that we dream about, we can see them all in real life when we visit the Orlando Museum of Art and check out their annual Festival of Trees!

30th Annual Festival of Trees in Orlando

We can’t believe that the Festival Trees has been going on for 30 years now! In that time, there have been many memorable trees that have appeared, including pink ones, trees made of books, kitschy retro-themed trees, haute couture trees, and so many others! We are so excited to see what kinds of trees will be featured this year! In addition to trees, there is entertainment performed daily by local choirs and dance ensembles, and a cafe that offers great food and holiday treats! There will also be special events taking place throughout the Festival, such as an opening night gala (November 11), a senior day (November 15), and a Reindeer Romp Children’s Party (November 16).
