What Can I Do in Orlando on Veterans Day?
Orlando-Area Veterans Day Events 2016
Here at The Auto Source, we LOVE November! We are still seeing temperatures in the 70s and 80s with plenty of sunshine! We also love November because of a couple of very important holidays. One of those holidays is Veterans Day, where we get to sing for unsung heroes. There are plenty of events happening around Orlando, and we want to share a couple of them that we think will be fun for the whole family!
Veterans Day Parade
The Orlando 2016 Veterans Day Parade, which is hosted by Mayor Buddy Dyer and the Veterans Advisory Council, will be taking place on Saturday, November 12 at 11:00am. Decorated floats, ROTC groups, active duty military personnel, marching bands, and veterans groups will be featured. The parade route includes Orange Avenue, Central Boulevard, and Rosalind Avenue. More information about the parade can be found here.
Museum of Military History
Veterans Day is the perfect time to visit the Museum of Military History, which is located in Kissimmee. The museum consists of interactive exhibits featuring the American Civil War, both World Wars, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Gulf War, and current conflicts. Items on display include military vehicles, fatigues and dress uniforms, weapons, and much more! For additional information, please visit the museum’s website and Facebook page.
